REJOICE - B: 3rd Sun of Advent

B: 3rd Sunday of Advent (17 December 2023)

The word “rejoice” highlights the notions of celebration and jubilation. It conveys that earthly existence should be lived to the fullest, emphasizing the joy, blessing, and bliss that it brings. Yet, the prefix “re-” theologically captures the dignity of humanity: God created us cheerful persons… our task is to restore the original happiness and perfection that we lost by sin. – Rex, CM
